Hopefully you received a “Save the Date” card last Spring informing you
about the upcoming exhibit at ArtSpace/Lima featuring five oil portraits by
Norman Rockwell. The exhibit is one day only and will feature the portraits
Rockwell painted for the iconic Crest “Look Mom, No Cavities” advertising
campaign in 1956. The portraits are of five different children and have
never before been exhibited outside of Procter & Gamble’s corporate office.
Thanks to a generous grant from Procter & Gamble there will be opportunities
on October 22 for school groups as well as the general public to view these
wonderful original works of art by an American master.
Due to the short amount of time the paintings will be on view and the large
number of individuals who hope to see the exhibit, ArtSpace has developed a
special schedule for teachers to register for field trips and for the
general public viewing.
School tours of the
exhibit are docent led and will begin at 9:30. Each time slot will be
designated for one class of 25 students.
There will be 5
classes guided through the exhibit each hour from 9:30-2:30 on Oct. 22,
Registration will be by email or phone beginning on
Thursday, Sept. 17 at 3pm. No school tour registrations will be
