December 13, 2016
These days, between Thanksgiving and the holidays that follow, are special.
They are certainly the busiest on the calendar. But they’re also days of
reflection, even meditation. On the one hand, we render our thanks for the
best parts of the year just passed, and on the other, we welcome the chance
to express that gratitude in tangible ways to family, friends, co-workers,
and special interests.
those thoughts in mind, we’re writing to thank you for being part of the
circle of supporters and members of ArtSpace/Lima. Your support makes our
work possible, allowing us to present a full schedule of exhibits in our
three galleries, a quarterly offering of hands-on art classes for kids and
adults, and those special events which make the unique connection between
the arts and the community. In a very real sense, we can do these things
because of you -- and, of course, we do them for you. They are our
way of giving back.
was a pretty good year for us. In addition to our annual quartet of
recurring exhibits (Photography, Kewpee, Spring Show, and ArtSpace/Pops), we
did a major retrospective of the work of Gregg Luginbuhl and a very
well-received Landscape/Cityscape show of nearly 100 pieces by
artists from around the state of Ohio. Classes, Summer Art Camp, two Soup
and Salad Lectures, and the Rally in the Square were all successful and
mission-fulfilling pieces of our schedule.
we hope 2017 will be even better. With your help. We hope you’ll want to
renew your membership for 2017 and help us continue the mission of what we
like to call “your friendly community art center.”
You’ll find a number of membership categories in the enclosed brochure, one
of which is bound to coincide
the level of your commitment and the limitations of your purse. Whichever
you choose, please know
your support is a vital part of who we are.
our best wishes for the holiday season and for the months to follow.
