This exhibit offers proof of a diverse
visual art community within the 100 mile radius of Lima, Ohio.
Representational, abstract and non objective visual statements were included
to adequately represent the range of work submitted.
Formal control and compositional integrity needed to be demonstrated for
work to be included in the exhibit. Works were then selected for unique
viewpoints or extra intensity.
Although presentation is always important in considering a work of art, in
some cases works were included in spite of inappropriate frames or
unfortunate choices in matting.
The judges regretted that more work was not submitted to the Lima Spring
Show. We know that there are many more viewpoints and approaches in the art
community that were not represented in the exhibit.
We look forward to seeing the exhibition
To those whose work was not included, exhibition space is always a
consideration and many times it is a fine line between a work being selected
or not making the cut.
